Youth Summer Camp

Ages 5-7, 9am-12pm Monday-Friday, $110

Ages 8-12, 2pm-5pm Monday-Friday, $110

June 14-18 Engineering in the Low Country

MC Escher, robotics, a virtual presentation of the Charleston Tea Plantation- this week we will focus on how engineering incorporates the arts!

June 21-25 Gullah Culture on the Coast

Slab bowls, dried rice mixed media, indigo dying.  Includes a guest speaker from Penn Center in Saint Helena Island, one of the most significant African American historical and cultural institutions in existence today.

June 28-July 2 Farming the Midlands

A chance to see how we incorporate agriculture, farming, and wildlife through self-portraits, barn quilts, and clay bowls.

July 12-16 Columbia: Our Capital and History

Develop a new love for the state of South Carolina! Students will create state bird, palmetto trees, fish found in Lake Murray, flora and fauna at Dreher Island and a visit from a Park Ranger!

July 19-23 Rooted in the Upstate

We will look at the Catawba Native American history through clay, sculpture, paper mache, and the graphic novel Trickster. Recreate and learn about the oldest log cabin in Paris Mountain State Park.

July 26-July 30th Nature in the Upstate

A plant pot, a macrame plant holder, and designs inspired by the beautiful landscape of the upstate. Get a closer look at plants specific to our state with wildflower scavenger hunt.

Teen Pottery: July 19-July 23rd, five people limit, ages 13-18. $150, 10am-2pm.

Youth Pottery: July 26th-July 30th, eight people limit, ages 8-12. $135, 9am-12pm.
