The Newberry Oktoberfest is an event held annually in Historic Downtown Newberry that celebrates Newberry’s German heritage. The event features live entertainment on the Main Stage facing Memorial Park, and free kids rides and activities.  Main Street is lined with vendors and the square includes local food vendors in the Food Court cooking up a variety of foods, including, of course, German! Celebrating the county's Dutch Fork heritage, the Liver Nips contest gives contestants a chance to win prizes and festival participants a chance to sample the Liver Nips entries! Teams interested in participating in this year’s Cook-Off can get an entry application right here!
The 2009 Newberry Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, October 3rd from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. in Downtown Newberry. The event includes:

Ritz Theater The Ritz Theater and the Newberry Community Players present the Columbia Marionette Theater. All shows are FREE. This year's show is "Rockin' Through the Ages ". Showtimes:
