Medal of Valor From The SC Police Chiefs Association For Officer Adrian Navarette Last year, while employed by the Prosperity Police Department, Officer Adrian Navarette came under gunfire from an individual while he was out of his vehicle on an unrelated traffic stop. Adrian remained calm and got the citizen whom he had stopped to safety, then called for help and was assisted by two deputies in apprehending the gunman. The deputies were recognized by the South Carolina Sheriffs Association for their involvement in this case. However, Adrian left the employment of the Town of Prosperity before being recognized for his actions. Chief Swindler has requested the opportunity to recognize Adrian for his heroism by presenting at the August Council meeting a “Medal of Valor” from the South Carolina Police Chiefs Association. |
